ANTON LACHKY / ANTON LACHKY COMPANY

SYNOPSIS

EN* The citizens of Ludum love to wander and get lost into the wild of virtual reality. All their dreams, their wildest fantasies, come true. Finally, true happiness is at a hand reach !
Superb, ravishing dancers inhabit this wonderful world: Their dance is enchanting. They are beautiful, powerful, immortal ! They seem to set themselves free from the bleak edges of the physical world. Finally, the realm of reality extend, unfold, and reach an infinite horizon. Dissolving the limits, playing endlessly with what is possible and what is not, raises questions: At a time where virtuality and reality beget each other, are we still able to distinguish them? And, most importantly, what will happen to Ludum and its inhabitants ?

PRESS

EN* « ...A furious pleasure. The enthousiastic audience in Krefeld did not want to let the dancers off the stage ».
« Anton Lachky pushes us with power, poetry and determined passion into the shallows of virtual reality »
« The rules of the Ludum remain open, a bizarre fantasy without borders is celebrated, a celebration of technological progress: "Well done, Samsung!". Anything goes - that's the humor, the rousing anarchic fun of this evening »
« Despite all the exuberance, there is also a sober message: if everything is possible, it often remains in the frame. The free imagination repeats familiar genres, well-known clichés and well-known role models. So even this brightly-colored slapstick subliminally brings a gray cultural criticism with it. »
« Towards the end, this weird, pleasure-seeking society undertakes a journey into space. Here, the tightrope walk between reality and virtuality succeeds perfectly. »
« An evening that irritates, raises exciting questions, shows a high level of dancing »
René Linke for Tanzweb

EN* « Eight dancers conquer the room in different constellations. With great agility up to acrobatic inserts they show perfect body control at a high level. »
« Towards the end, this weird, pleasure-seeking society undertakes a journey into space. Here, the tightrope walk between reality and virtuality succeeds perfectly. »

Michaela Plattenteich for Westdeutsche Zeitung

EN "Eight energetic performers make this show a real bombshell" Article by Didier Béclard.
" Rarely had we seen in a show such a striking introduction. Ludum, as soon as the light comes on, starts at full speed a succession of mini-solos, fast and martial (...) Flushes of pure energy, from which emerges an Asian flavor and a video game impression. The characters give everything in their short demos."
